HOW TO PREPARE FOR O LEVELS ISLAMIAT
HOW TO PREPARE FOR O LEVELS ISLAMIAT
TODAY I AM GOING TO HARE THE TIPS I FOLLOWED WHICH HELPED GET AN A * IN ISL AND I AM SURE THEY WILL HELP U GUYS AS WELL..........................
( SUPER TIP AT THE END FOR LAST MINUTE PREPARATION )
Memorizing Quranic verses: In o'levels Islamiat I won't suggest doing past papers because they kill time .YES ! only if your writing speed is good. what you need to do is you need to memorize the maximum amount of Quranic quotes that was stated after 2010 in past papers............ as you go through that the Quranic verses stated in yearly most of the verses are repeat so it would be easy for you to learn again. you know you are awarded with extra marks if you state the Quranic verses in your content as well in exams. What I did was that I noted down on a separate piece of paper all of the Quranic verses that was stated after 2010 because before 2010 the pattern is changed . so after 2010 till 2019 I went through all of the Quranic verses and noted them down and memorized those instead of memorizing the whole text that helped me a lot. to gain high marks.
CATEGORISING THE VERSES : ok I know it's not possible to memorize all of the verses even though they are not that much difficult..... so I figured out a way, I divide the parts of my Book into into sections for example 1 section was tawhid all of the versus that were related to tawhid... I list them down in one page that help me because all of the versus were related they helped me a lot in memorizing things . note that you should mention hadith as much as quranic verses this gives the impact to examiner that we have as much good knowledge of hadith as much as we have of Quran.
NOTING DOWN WHATS USEFUL AND LEAVING WHATS TRASH : now you can only get an idea of what is useful for you and what is not by going through the past papers I would suggest going through the past papers after 2010 as I mentioned before because if before 2010 the pattern was different so after 2010 you will notice that many of the topic that are included in the syllabus never come for example the battles in the Khilafat of Hazrat Umar, excluding the main battles like battle of Namarak all of those minor details they have never come SO..... I did not memorize them at all .......similarly the Immamat topics except the major Immams that were Hazrat Hassan and hussain.... a other minor Immams were never never asked and I did not prepare them either...this way u save alot of your time because they say" time is money".
SPEED : well obviously in the humanity subjects you need good amount of speed to score your best and to do that I wont suggest going through the past papers again........ I did not even solve 1 past paper and i still scored the top marks this was because I had tons and tons of knowledge in my brain............ when you have a lot of knowledge in your brain and you know everything then speeds come to you naturally but still if you are struggling with managing time..... then for just practicing get the past papers for you............. but don't do a lot of them because they make nothing ....islamiyat is all about cramming because there is nothing as such which needs to be understood and it is better if you focus more on learning...... the speed naturally comes to you.
USEFUL TIP : (DO READ TILL END ) Another tip my my school fellow gave me and I found it useful ,was noting the Pattern ...... the pattern of Isl paper after 2010 has a choice question and u would notice that there is choice in last two questions of the paper.....they most of time come same one from pillars of islam and other from articles of faith so if u are on last moment of preparation memorise one of the following topics .....
